Kare Radiology is proud to welcome Dr. Paul Heyworth, a highly regarded radiologist who brings exceptional expertise and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Dr. Heyworth is a dedicated Radiologist with a special interest in musculoskeletal imaging and interventional procedures, particularly in pain management through minimally invasive techniques.
A Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), Dr. Heyworth has extensive experience across CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy.
During his tenure as Chief Radiology Registrar at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, Dr. Heyworth led key teaching initiatives, advocated for training quality, and helped enhance departmental efficiency. His leadership and dedication to education are also reflected through his ongoing roles as an Associate Lecturer at Bond University and Griffith University, and his active involvement in presenting to medical and surgical trainee groups.
Beyond his clinical excellence, Dr. Heyworth is passionate about mentorship and community healthcare, supporting the next generation of radiologists and improving access to advanced imaging in regional areas.
Outside of work, Dr. Heyworth enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children — a role that deepens his empathy and understanding of patient care.
As part of the Kare Radiology team, Dr. Heyworth will lead our interventional imaging program and continue his commitment to providing world-class, patient-centred care to the Coffs Harbour and Mid North Coast community.
